The Dominican Republic Alumni Chapter (DRAC) is devoted to advancing the fraternity’s ideals, goals, and purposes, particularly as it relates to Social Action and Community Service. DRAC members demonstrate their dedication and commitment by consistently conducting community outreach programs and activities throughout the island.

Social Action/Community Service:
Room 2 Read – the fraternity has partnered with “Room to Read,” a program designed to help children in historically low-income communities develop literacy skills and a habit of reading. Community Service – this initiative aligns with one of the fraternity’s primary objectives: to inspire service in the public interest. Its sole purpose is to engage in activities for the betterment of communities.
Adopt-A-School/Orphanage – this program entails partnering with schools, communities, and/or orphanages to positively impact student achievement. The program is designed to support student learning objectives, and it offers the resources necessary to help students achieve their goals.

Academic and College Prep:
The National Kappa League program also provides educational college readiness opportunities for its students. It fosters college matriculation and academic success through the use of the following tools, resources, and activities:
Naviance – this is a tool used to help develop different skill sets for students and Kappa Leaguers
Tutorials – tutoring of various subjects is provided to students
School Supplies – school supplies are provided for students
College Signing Day – students receive support from fraternity members on the day of their college signing
College Tour – fraternity members accompany students as they engage in tours of colleges and universities being considered for the completion of their higher education academic studies.
Scholarships – the fraternity provides scholarships of varying amounts to qualified students

Guide Right,
Another important Kappa Alpha Psi National service initiative is Guide Right, an inspirational and
informative program characterized by the educational and occupational guidance of youth. The flagship initiative of the Guide Right program is the Kappa Leadership Development League, a subset of Guide Right that is more commonly referred to as the “Kappa League.” The Kappa League program positively impacts youth through mentorship, training, and guidance provided by the fraternity and its members. It is designed to help young men grow, receive and develop their leadership skills and talents in every phase of human endeavor.
